2008 Tin Bender Jamboree in Association with Marlin Crawler

We are proud to host the 3rd annual "Tin Bender Johnson Valley Cleanup in association with Marlin Crawler". This fun filled weekend will be held April 25th, 2008 and include the same format as the previous Jamboree's with trail sign ups and a broad range of wheeling.

This year our event will have a signup fee of $35. Last year the BLM made it exceptionally difficult to obtain the proper permitting required to hold a fee-based event and as a result we decided to hold the event, sans registration fee. The reason is that we could no longer afford the time and cost associated with working with the BLM, on the many different items (such as permits and insurance) that an "event" requires. Unfortunatly, we didn't raise nearly as much money last year, without the fee as we still had the same expenses (Porta Potties, Trash Trailers, Food, Etc.) This year, Marlin Crawler has agreed to step in and help with the politics so that we have a more productive weekend. We are focusing on making the Johnson Valley OHV area a cleaner, more pleasurable place to recreate. Each trail run participant will be responsible for the cleanup of a specific area within Johnson Valley.

As always, all profits (money in excess of our event expenses) are donated to FOPV and other organizations in the fight to keep trails open.

If you would like to donate without registering, we are accepting donations through our website here:

This year, we have changed our shopping cart login process. We have learned that maintaining two seperate logins for one site was too much work. We have merged our cart/registration with our forums and now there is only one login. It is the same for the forums as it is for the cart. If you previously had both logins from prior Jamborees, you will now only need your forum login as it is the one we chose for both. Again, the previously created shopping cart logins have been done away with, and we now only use the forum login for everything at TinBenders.org. We hope this clears some things up.

More information will be available as we work out the details. We hope to see you in April.
