I'm coming down for this event. I'm getting ready to sign up. My question is, which trails should I sign up for?
I have an 88 EFI Toyota standard cab with a D44 in the front suspended on dual Toyota rear packs moved forward almost 5 inches. Stock rear end with 1 1/2 inch spacers to match the front axle moved back one inch. It is suspended on 63 inch chevys. I am locked front and rear with 4:88 gears. I have a good winch. I've currently got sliders protecting the rocker panels but thats all. I have dual cases with stock gears on a low profile crossmember. I bobbed my bed 16 inches. Its all sitting on 37" MTRs on steel wheels.
I haven't done a lot of rock crawling. Mostly Oregon trails, sand and mud. I have lots of offroad experience just not with rocks. What trails would I be best suited for during this Jamboree?
Thanks!

Chass--- in my humble opinion--
IF you have not done too much rock crawlin-----
i would recommend AFTERSHOCK-
it is called the 'beginner' trail at the Hammers---- but don't let that fool you--
a beginner trail at the Hammers is unlike anything you have ever done !!!!
then if you want to try Sledge- Wrecking ball- Outter Limits--- you will have a better idea of what you are getting into---
but there IS ALWAYS the good chance that you WILL have body damage !!!! IF you wanna break shiet--- do Back Door !!!!

take what krusty said to heart. I'm still new to rock crawling and the hammers...and I still haven't driven (although krusty's buildin me a super duper toyota that no one has ever seen but me and him ;) :D ).
of the trails I've riden shot gun in I'd say sign up for aftershock first and then either claw or sledge. that should give you a VERY good experience down at the jambo and limit (notice I said limit not prevent) body damage/breakage.
outter limits/wrecking ball/back door are almost guranteed damage and breakage. the 2 times I've been on outer limits have been...um...interesting...to say the least .

complete with swing out seats and revolving 7 point harnesses !!!!
i figured that after a couple test runs on the 33" training wheels, we could go to the real things at 48" !!!! but i still think that the 31" drop down fifth pivot wheel will work OK !
(who needs rear steer when you can pivot from the center !!!)front digs-- rear burns----- we can do SIDE SLIDES and full wheel stop 360 pivots !!!!!!
workin on an idea that i got from the low-riders and hydraulic wheel hoppers----
got it up to the point that we can HOP OVER 8' bolders !

Hey Chass, Clawhammer is a good choice as well.
Thanks for making the trip, I doubt you'll be dissapointed.

Not at all new to wheelin, been out to JV 2 or three times, outer limits, claw hammer, jack hammer.........looking to do some of the harder stuff over jambo and haven't been able to just cause there were no rigs with me to do em.....my question is: can you only sign up for one trail, or can you sign up for many....it appears to be only one on the registration screen so that's why I ask......thanks.

you can only sign up for one. most runs all start around the same time and with the amount of rigs, 'usually' takes all day. there's usually 'unoffical' runs friday, friday night and staterday nights also and I'm sure you could find a couple rigs to go with you.

You can only sign up for one of the trails for the "official" run on Sat.
But like sb said ther'll be tons of people out there running trails from Thur on. Finding someone to run with won't be a problem.
Thanks for coming out.

btw, will probably go do sledge hammer for the group run on Saturday...haven't done that yet and imagine it is middle to hard in ranking amongst all the trails..........but I will def want to run hwy 20 and bender alley that weekend at some pt if anyone else wants to...
