OK guys; I am just back from my Baja trip. I have been reading all the posts on the Jamboree and it sounds like you are all really "on it". For my part, I WILL have the 12kw diesel powerplant there, probably by thursday evening.
Re: comms, I will have my own radio there, which is a (slightly modified) 2 meter with 50 watts of power. I can program in any of the race freqs. I also have a 20'fiberglass mast and Jpole antenna which can be quickly set up anywhere on the trail, above it, or at base camp. The whole thing weighs about 5#.

Anything I can do to help, I will be glad to.

ok, so you went to Baja-----(did you bring anyone back with you ??) ---- phooey !!

I don't know what freq's they want to run-- guess we'll try to include those 2m that have not been 'expanded' -(mine is 75w)-

be there fore dark Thurs-

Just scored @800+' of new rope banner flags----- (might be closer to 1000')

have 1-500w and 1-250w quartz lights, and the flood for the lounge peak.

12KW generator, that must weigh 700lbs.

It weighs more than that. It's a China Diesel setting on a 200 gal fuel tank, setting in a trailer. It will power my whole place, including my well.
