general thoughts and observations--

don't know bout anyone else--- but I am haveing some sleepless nights just thinking bout the'stuff' of the Jambo--- organization, camp site layout, camp set up, dinner, raffle, prizes, plastic jug for tickets, etc etc--
iffn my truck will make the run--(without problems), iffen I can find the trail !- do I have enough 'stuff', magic markers for the white boards, and sign boards, masking tape, my 'throw out' stuff, gathering up the nuts/bolts for my rear drive shaft soos i can reinstall it when i git there, how many are gonna break on my run, can I git everyone back---- etc etc
this being our FIRST REAL "EVENT" and all------

I'm impressed and damn glad you guys let me hang out and wheel with ya. It'll all come together Krusty, there will be last minute fires to put out but there will be enough firemen with hoses in hand :D except for the real fire ofcourse!

Got the shitters lined up today.

They will be delivered on Thursday and will cost $300 for 3 of them.

I also confirmed that Big Rich is sending the insurance info to BLM... I will also be reciept of a copy.

I'm working with John to track down any vendors that are dragging their feet.

Roxy has the dinner nailed.

Now if I can find a way to get my runner to run and get it saddled up behind the motorhome, it'll be smooth sailing smile.gif

I got MORE telephone calls today than I have in the past month !!!----- even as far away as MASS> (i'm not gonna try to spell it)--- " my runner is in New Mex, -- if I fly in from Mass. jump in the runner, could I run a trail or two ??" TRAVIS that used to be stationed here.- 'stock' runner, but a HELLVA driver !!!!!!! NEVER lagged behind any of us !!!

It appears thru lookin at the varius threads--- the single most link thru ALL is the communication aspect.
if we can arrange to have a 'net' or at least some means of keepin track of progress on the trails--- the recoveries/rescues/ can be done, and no reason why all of us can not be in camp before dark !!!(fingers crossed)-- what if no one breaks !????- will we have to sit in camp drinkin beers for 5 hours waitin for dinner ????
(don't i wish !!)


Toad always has 'wood' and USUALLY has 'hose' in hand !!!! (ya see a common pattern developing here ??!!!)

I've been gathering odd loose parts--- tie rod ends, tie rod, 'j' arms, 1/2 drive shaft(spline end), couple brake lines hard/soft, drop in 410, parts of 529(no center pin), --
I do have a front axle houseing, but too much to carry and too deep a 'repair' item.
will have P/S fluid (4-5 gal), coolant(5 gal), brake kleen (SEVERAL), oil (4-5 gal), 80/90 (3-4 gal), 1 extra barf joint, 1 long/1 short axle

don't have; spare hubs, rotor, 'u' joints, trunion bearings, fuel pump,

DO have a portable welder (Bobbed83's battery pack portable with a nearly full spool of wire)
(I tried it out welding the screen door hinge on the camper-- it works !!)
