Simple as that.

Any 231? Do the input and output spline counts matter? Manual or auto? YJ or TJ?

I've probably got 3 laying around, a couple in various stages of assembly and the front half or two from 4to1 conversions.

It's off his YJ, not sure of spline count. Manual with a Klune. Got one?

I have to reassemble it, but it was good to go when I got it, just in two halves for some odd reason.

Can't be worth more than 175 or so. I'll go through it and see if there's anything bad in it.

Need to check on the tailcone though. I'm a little poor on YJ knowledge.

IIRC his YJ is a 4cyl so I bet his NP231 is a 21 spline input.
At least that's what it was from the factory.

I won't even be ready before then.

I have a good case, with a RE SYE on it. If I remember correctly, it's 23 spline.

I need to take it apart, and see what is fully wrong.

I'm sure the chain is broke.

Not sure what else.

Hey gary, I remember when I got the Klune, by spec it shopuld have been one thing, but it was really the other. That's why I think it's the 23 spline, I had to order a new Klune Output to make it work.

I KNOW you can get the Klune in either 21 or 23 spline. Let me know which one you have. I'd be
interested in knowing.

I swear we ordered the Klune for 21spline, because that's what it's supposed to be, but when it came time to install, it was 23.

I know rob came out and helped me change something. I "think" it was the input gear on the t-case, but I remember ordering something from Klune.

I'll take it apart ASAP.

Meanwhile, I have to be in Palmdale (at ZLA) by 0630, so that means a 0445 depature, give the 15min. drive to work to get the truck I loaded today, I get to leave the house @ 0430. An hour to get ready means I'm gonna hear the buzz at 0330.

Happy Happy Joy Joy.

Oh well, learn something new.

Ok, so having torn it apart, it appears as though there was no obvious damage, the large ring may have jumped track and wedged. I have it reassembled, on the bench ready to be hand tested.

We'll see.
